It is time to start thinking fall planting in most climates so here are are few fall plants we plant in our garden:
One thing to keep in mind with the fall crops is that they might need to be watered by hand if you need to turn off the automatic sprinkling system for the winter. Another great option is planting in a large pot as you can move it around to cooler- to warmer spots as the temperatures drop, and take inside overnight as the frost starts to roll in. The cooler weather makes the lettuce have a nice texture and very sweet, can't pass up a fall salad!
What is your favorite crop to plant in the fall?

- Lettuce
- Spinach
- Garlic cloves (for harvest next summer)
- Peas
- Radishes
- Green Onions
- Onion seed for next year- Depending on the climate onion seeds may or may not survive, but hey they are just a few seeds, and it's worth the risk as it will make the best onion crop you ever had if they do survive.
