Eating fresh Strawberries is one of my favorite things about having a garden. They rank up there with homegrown tomatoes. We have quite a large patch, so we get more than we can eat up, so preserving them is a must. The easiest way by far is to freeze them.
They will last up to 6 months in a deep freezer, but will start getting freezer burn after that. Enjoy!

- Pick the Strawberries
- Wash the Strawberries
- Core the Strawberries if you want, but that is not needed as the tops are indeed edible
- Spread them in a single layer on a cookie sheet with some tin foil under the strawberries
- Place them in the freezer for 12-24 hours, or until they are frozen solid
- Take the strawberries from the freezer, and pour them into a ziplock freezer bag, and press air out and seal.
- Place Strawberries back in the freezer and use for smoothies, pies, salads, and many other things.
